Renewable energy

Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo’s main cellar and bottling facility in Portoguaro (Veneto) uses 100% renewable energy (since 2012) via 6,500 feet solar panels and nearby (and owned) biomass facility. These sources of renewable energy produce 360,000-kilowatt hours of energy every year, the equivalent of burning approximately 145 tons of coal. This eliminates CO2 emission output by 190 tons and saves 90 tons of fuel oil.
