In the state of Pennsylvania in the United States, the state government controls the sale of wine and spirits through there retail outlets. The price of over 400 bestselling wines and spirits was recently increased by $1-2 USD to help support the state’s police department, pension fund and rising cost of health care for state employees, according to Elizabeth Brassell, spokeswoman for the PLCB.
