Practical Issues of QA & QC

Sampling during bottling

Sample bottles collected after bottling are part of the quality control for traceability. Sample bottles may be either used for quality analysis or stored in warehouse as control samples when there are complaints in future. Sula in India will keep minimum 4 control sample bottles during bottling per day with capacity of 3000 bottles per hour of the bottling line, then stored in controlled storage area for 18 months. Sample bottles will be collected for chemical analysis every 15 minutes during bottling of Taylors in Eden Valley. However, Telford International in Hong Kong will collect bottles every hour and keep for 5 days after bottling, then laboratory test will be carried out to check for microbiological stability.
